One of the most fun parts of building your own home is when you finally get to step inside and decorate. Adding personal touches to your walls will encourage you each day as you move about your house and can even tell your story to future visitors.
Be sure to consider where you will hang items like photos and artwork so that you can adjust your home electrical and lighting plan accordingly. You don’t want to have a light switch located right where you’d like a family photo to go. This may seem like a difficult task at first, but creating a list or diagram of where your current decorations will be mounted makes it much more manageable. Be sure to leave some space for new finds!
